A highly active member of Chicago’s philanthropic community for the past decade, Claudine Tambuatco serves in integral roles at charitable and nonprofit organizations that support education, environmental conservation, and medical care. Since 2006, Claudine Tambuatco has sat on the Auxiliary Board of the John G. Shedd Aquarium where she works with fellow members of the BLU Leadership and Executive Planning Committees to raise funds for its annual event. Owing in part to her efforts, BLU 2011 became the first event of its kind to sell out, generating substantial support for the Shedd Aquarium’s educational and conservation efforts.
In tandem with her work with the Shedd Aquarium, Claudine Tambuatco serves as a member of the Associate Board for Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) and helps to plan such important annual fundraising events as ArtFutura and the Bearcat Ball, which benefit the RIC’s Pediatric Charity Care and Art Therapy Programs. Other groups to benefit from the participation of Claudine Tambuatco include the Junior League of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art. An alumna of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Smith College, Claudine Tambuatco holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from these respective institutions. She currently works as a commercial and fine art model, with a substantial body of work in print and video advertising in the greater Chicago metropolitan area and elsewhere.
